The South Kanara Government Officers Co-operative Bank Ltd., is established in the year 1918, initially Registered as Co-operative Society in the year 1918. Later it had obtained licence from RBI to function as an Urban Co-operative Bank.

 The banking activities are spread over to Dakshina Kannada and Udupi Districts of coastal Karnataka. The Bank was set up with the primary objectives of assisting the members to encourage savings and to create funds for providing financial aid to deserving members. The bank provides Long term, Medium Term and Short term loans, Mortgage loans, Home loans and Express loans to A class members. The gold loans at attractive rates are advanced to General public also. RTGS and NEFT facility are also available for customers. Deposits upto5 lakhs are covered by DICGC Insurance. Safe deposit Lockers are available. Bank receives deposits at attractive rates. Death Relief Fund and Scholarship funds have been created for the benefit of members.
